Jon and I are absolutely thrilled with our decision to have Authored Events coordinate our wedding. The reasons are endless, from their attention to every detail to their knowledge regarding the entire day. Joel was able to assist the groomsmen in folding their handkerchiefs, keeping them entertained with his iPad, and everything in between. Laney was a huge help from the start, with an answer to every question and a solution to every problem. She stayed in contact with all of our vendors, and found answers to any questions we had about vendor services. Laney and Joel were critical to the success of our wedding day running seamlessly. We received many complements from bridesmaids, mothers and friends regarding the helpfulness of Laney and Joel. Their emergency kits were frequently used and their amenity baskets were enjoyed by guests. Thank you for being a part of our big day, and ensuring everything went according to plan. Everything was perfect, I wouldn’t change a thing.

I started planning my wedding by myself, only to feel completely overwhelmed and stressed out. I didn't have the knowledge base for planning a wedding and was missing a ton of details. But after Laney started helping me, everything fell into place. She asked me questions that I would have never thought of. She checked in on me regularly and gave me condensed weekly to-do lists. Her organization, creativity and utter excitement for the job are every bride's dream.

Laney reviewed all of my contracts for completion, and created a comprehensive timeline of due dates for payments and information. She even kept all the contracts so the day of the wedding all vendors were held accountable. She knows what questions to ask, including set up timing, sizes of cake/escort card tables, head table details, linens on the extra tables, entrance of the guests, etc, etc. I thought I was organized until I met her! She is on top of every due date, guest count, and payment.

Every challenge I brought to the table was met with exciting and inventive solutions. I wanted non-floral center pieces, but had no idea what to use instead. Laney came back with 20-30 amazing ideas, which she had put together herself and taken pictures of. It was amazing to see the great concepts she came up with. I also wanted Chinese take out containers (for my candy bar) to double as escort cards, but had no idea how to attach the guest’s names and table numbers. She made adorable escort cards attached to the handle of the box, making it easy for guests to find their favor. I was blown away by her hard work and creativity.

I would recommend Authored Events to anyone planning a wedding. Laney knows exactly what she’s doing and can flawlessly execute any event. She offers innovative solutions to any dilemma, and understands how to prioritize tasks. Add all of that to her excellent taste and enthusiasm for weddings, and she is the perfect answer to any event.
